A group solution for The Law Society

The Law Society is the professional body representing solicitors in England and Wales and includes the Solicitors Regulation Authority, which deals with all regulatory and disciplinary matters, and sets, monitors and enforces standards for solicitors across England and Wales. The Law Society was creating a standard group-wide platform for CRM and document management. source ensured that the right providers were engaged to work on these complex implementation projects under appropriate, robust contracts.

What we did

source ran a series of procurements to identify the best suppliers for the requirements gathering, implementation and quality assurance of The Law Society’s chosen technology platform for the Group Solution. Working with the legal advisors we designed and negotiated robust and flexible contracts to underpin the commercial relationships.

What was different

Instead of the traditional, document-based approach to procurement, source ran a transparent, workshop-led process. This brought the potential providers together with the stakeholders from within the Society to look at specific aspects of the project, collaboratively designing the solution.  The close working also gave an opportunity to assess cultural fit between the organisations.
